Release notes and product updates
Payments, sign-in, and the free tier
0.3.0Live payments, Google-only sign-in, a human check on generation, and a daily free allowance you claim.
Payments are live
Credit packs and subscriptions both work. Credits are granted only after the payment is confirmed, and a replayed webhook grants nothing a second time.
Google-only sign-in
Passwords are gone. One provider, no password to lose, no reset flow to get wrong.
A human check before generating
Generation runs behind Cloudflare Turnstile plus an account-level rate limit. Ordinary members never see a challenge; what this stops is scripted signups spending the free allowance in bulk.
The free allowance is claimed, not sprayed
New accounts get credits on the first day automatically — you should see the product work before doing anything. The following days are claimed with a button. Coming back and asking is the point; loading the page five times is not.
Feedback from anywhere
A feedback button in the top bar carries the page you were on and the details of your last generation, so a report about a broken clip arrives with the clip's id attached.
Real models, guided prompts, and content screening
0.2.0Two live video models, an Ad Builder for people who don't write prompts, and moderation on everything that goes in.
Two models, priced per second
Grok Imagine 1.5 at 480p and MiniMax H3 at 720p and 1080p, both generating dialogue in the same pass as the picture, so there is no voiceover to sync to a mouth. Every price on the models page is per second of finished video.
Ad Builder
Most people who want a product ad cannot write a video prompt, and asking them to is the real barrier. Ad Builder asks what the product is, who it is for, and which angle to take, then writes the prompt. The prompt stays visible and editable — it teaches rather than hides.
Content screening
Prompts and reference images are screened before a job is created. Sexual content involving minors, sexual content, hate and harassment are refused. Violence is not a blocking category on its own, because ad copy legitimately describes it and blocking on it refused ordinary product scripts.
Delivery
Finished clips can be downloaded and shared, and a completion email goes out when a generation finishes, so a two-minute render does not require a held browser tab.
First generation, end to end
0.1.0The pipeline that turns a prompt into a finished clip, and the credit ledger that pays for it.
The first day CastTake could take a prompt and hand back a video.
The generation pipeline
Submitting a prompt reserves credits, queues the job, calls the provider, stores the finished file, and settles the reservation against what the clip actually cost. A failure at any step releases the reservation rather than swallowing it, so a generation that does not produce a video does not produce a charge either.
The credit ledger
One credit is one US cent. Every movement is a row: grants, reservations, settlements, refunds. Balances are derived from those rows rather than kept as a number that could drift away from them, which is what makes a disputed charge answerable instead of a matter of opinion.
Prices quoted before you submit
The number of credits a generation will cost is shown before you press the button, and that is the number reserved. There is no revision afterwards.
