Arcads alternative: AI UGC video ads with no separate voiceover step
The short version
- CastTake charges per clip. A 5-second clip is 20 credits on the cheap model, which is 20 cents. Arcads sells seats and does not publish what a seat costs.
- Dialogue and picture come out of one sampling pass here, so nothing gets lip-synced afterwards. You also cannot swap the voice on an approved clip without regenerating it.
- New accounts get 120 credits over five days with no card, which is six short clips. Enough to find out if the output works for your product.
- If you need managed avatars, a team library and a person to call, stay with Arcads. This is a self-serve tool.
| Quality | Per clip | 20 clips | Best for | Not for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Grok Imagine 1.5, 480p | $0.4040 credits | $9.901 x 990 credits | Testing hooks. Ten cheap variants tell you more than one expensive clip. | The clip you actually put spend behind. 480p looks like 480p on a phone. |
| MiniMax H3, 720p | $1.40140 credits | $29.703 x 990 credits | The version that goes live once a hook has proven itself. | Bulk testing. At this rate a wide test costs real money. |
| MiniMax H3, 1080p | $2.24224 credits | $49.505 x 990 credits | Placements that letterbox or crop, where 720p shows it. | Feeds that recompress anyway. You are paying 1.6x for something the platform throws away. |
Put the monthly quote you were given in the box and this will say how many clips it has to produce to break even against paying per clip here. We cannot fill that number in for you. Arcads publishes no price list, so the only real figure is the one you were quoted.
Why people go looking for an Arcads alternative
The thread that ranks first for this search is a year old and still gets replies. The person who started it had been testing Arcads for UGC video and wrote that it is "pretty expensive, especially for small teams or startups", that managing demos ate time, and that what they wanted next was something with a free generation so they could try it "before going for any purchase decision".
That is three separate complaints and only one of them is about money. The second is about the work around the tool rather than the tool. The third is about not being able to find out. We can do something about the first and the third. The second depends on how you work more than on what you buy, and any Arcads alternative that promises to fix it is guessing about your team.
How the two actually differ
Arcads is built around a library of licensed AI actors. You pick a face, give it a script, and it performs the script. The voice is produced by a speech layer and matched to the mouth afterwards. That architecture is why you can keep one actor consistent across a campaign, and why you can change the read without redoing the picture.
CastTake generates the frame and the dialogue in the same sampling pass. There is no voice track to align, which removes a whole class of drift you would otherwise chase in an editor. It also removes the option Arcads has: to change the read here you regenerate the clip, and the face may come out slightly different. If your brand depends on the same presenter appearing in thirty ads, that is a real cost and you should weigh it before switching.
Eight seconds, generated by this product, nothing cut or graded afterwards. Unmute it: the voice and the picture came out of the same sampling pass, which is the top row of the diagram. No speech track was recorded, no mouth shapes were aligned. It is also a stock demo rather than a customer campaign, so read it as evidence of what the pipeline does, not as a result somebody paid for.
The part every comparison page skips: nobody publishes the price
Google puts "How much does Arcads AI cost per month?" at the top of the questions people also ask for this search. Every Arcads alternative page on the first screen skips it. We went to find out why on 7 September 2026 and the reason is simple: there is nothing to answer with.
- Requesting arcads.ai/pricing returns HTTP 404, both with and without the www prefix.
- Their sitemap lists 280 URLs. None of them contains pricing, plan, cost or billing in the path. The site is 270 feature pages, 120 industry pages and 60 use-case pages, and no price.
- The home page HTML contains no link to a pricing page at all. The only dollar figures on it are revenue numbers in customer showcase cards.
So when a round-up tells you Arcads costs a specific amount per month, ask where the number came from. It is either somebody repeating a contract they signed at some point, or it is invented. Neither is a price you can plan against. Get a quote from them and put it in the box at the top of this page, which will tell you how many clips it has to produce before it is the cheaper option.
Our own numbers are on this page because they are already public and they are computed, not typed. The calculator calls the same function that reserves credits when a real generation is submitted, so the figure it shows and the figure you are charged cannot come apart.
Which one you should pick
Stay with Arcads if
- The same presenter has to appear across a whole campaign and stay recognisable.
- You need to change the read on an approved clip without touching the picture.
- Several people share a library and you want the seat and permission model that comes with that.
- You would rather have a contact and a contract than a credit balance.
Try CastTake if
- You test hooks in volume and most of what you generate gets thrown away.
- Your spend is uneven. Some months are twenty clips and some are none.
- You want to see output for your own product before any payment conversation.
- Lip-sync drift has cost you edit time you would rather not spend again.
Questions people ask before switching
- How much does Arcads AI cost per month?
- We cannot tell you, and neither can they from their website. On 2026-09-07 arcads.ai/pricing returned a 404, their sitemap listed 280 URLs with no pricing, plan or cost path among them, and the home page carried no link to one. Every figure you will read in a listicle is either somebody quoting an old contract or guessing. Ask them for a quote, then put it in the calculator above, which is the only honest way to compare a published per-clip rate with an unpublished monthly one.
- Is there a free way to test an AI UGC ad tool before paying?
- Here, yes: a new account opens with 120 credits spread over its first five days and no card, which is six 5-second clips on the cheap model or one 10-second clip at 720p. That is enough to answer the only question worth answering first, which is whether the output is usable for your product at all. It is not enough to run a campaign, and we would rather say so than let you find out on day four.
- Does the voice still have to be lip-synced afterwards?
- Not here. The dialogue and the picture come out of the same sampling pass, so there is no separate voice track to align and no sync drift to chase. The tradeoff is real and worth knowing: because the voice is generated with the frame, you cannot swap a different voice onto an approved clip without regenerating it. Tools built on a text-to-speech layer can do that swap and this cannot.
- Why do these tools all seem to cost about the same?
- One reply in that r/NewTubers thread puts it plainly: the funded ones "employ tons of people, and need to make money somehow someway", so their prices converge on what a seat has to earn rather than on what a clip costs to make. Per-clip pricing does not fix that on its own. What it changes is who carries the risk of an unused month, and if you generate every day the arithmetic can land the other way. The calculator above will tell you where your own line is.
- Can I take my clips with me if I leave?
- Every generation here is a file you download and keep, and there is no watermark on paid output. What does not travel is the prompt history and the templates, which is true of every tool in this category including this one. If portability matters, keep your winning prompts in your own document rather than in whichever product you are using this quarter.
What the first page of this search actually looks like
Read on 7 September 2026, US results. Eight pages compete for arcads alternative and seven of them were built by a company selling you something, and five of those put their own product at number one. This page is one of the seven. You should read it the same way you read the other six.
